Marie Rarieya

Marie Rarieya is an independent senior research and development consultant, with expertise in Gender in Agricultural Research Development. She specializes in the agricultural sector development, quantitative and qualitative data analysis approaches, and curriculum review and development processes, with over 25 years’ experience in agriculture and rural development.

Rarieya played a key role in shaping Education and Training Program at Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), which was directed at capacity building in the integrated soil fertility management of extension workers, laboratory technicians, and soil scientists, as well as other stakeholders across 13 AGRA focal countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

She holds a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, U.S.A., Master’s in Computer Based Information Systems, a Post-graduate diploma in curriculum development, and a Bachelor’s in Education (Biological Science).
